Chiropractic Services
Restore Chiropractic Health Center is dedicated to helping you receive and maintain optimal spinal health through chiropractic care. Our team is led by Dr. Michael Tinkey, who has practiced in Louisville Colorado for the past 10 years. Our mission is to help each patient improve their quality of life by providing personalized care that will help you live an active and pain-free life.
At Restore we use a variety of chiropractic methods to bring you optimum spinal health including:
Diversified Method
At Restore Chiropractic Health Center we specialize in Diversified Chiropractic Method - a classic chiropractic technique that uses hands-on, manual adjusting. Diversified offers targeted approach to the spine with no forceful thrusts. This method is excellent for treating most spinal issues and injuries including back problems such as herniations, disc replacement, stenosis, vertebral subluxation, spondylosis, osteoarthritis and degeneration. You will notice a relaxing experience while being treated in our office. We take pride in treating each patient the way we want to be treated.
Thompson Method
We also incorporate the Thompson Method, a technique of spinal manipulation that uses a specialized, therapeutic table with neck, chest and pelvic pieces to drop during the adjustment. This table is specifically designed for the Thompson Back Technique which corrects and improves posture and alignment of all 7 vertebrae. Firm pressure is applied to specific spinal areas and then released. This technique is accomplished through manipulation using gravity or the force of body weight as leverage for manipulation and is very effective in treating a variaty of spinal issues.
Activator Method
The Activator Method is a quick, drug-free, non-surgical solution to pain relief that delivers light, low-force adjustments to your spine using a handheld instrument. The tool is used to release compression on the nerve roots and restores normal communication between your brain and body. This gentle and controlled procedure may be used as part of a prehabilitation program or as a therapeutic treatment for those suffering from acute or chronic conditions. The result is often immediate pain relief and improved flexibility and functionality.
Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression therapy is a state-of-the-art non surgical, drug free procedure. It utilizes sophisticated computer technology to gently apply a very focused stretch that decreases pressure and increases circulation to spinal discs, joints and other structures.
Spinal decompression treats:
- Sciatica
- Back pain
- Disc degeneration
- Herniated or bulging discs
- Nerve damage (neuropathy)

Acupuncture Therapy
Acupuncture: Acupuncture improves your body’s functions and promotes a natural self-healing process by stimulating specific areas called acupuncture points. Acupuncture can help with:
- Muscle Pain
- Muscle Spasms
- Headaches
- Migraines
- Chronic Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Knee Pain
- Mood Problems
- Depression
- Allergies
- Insomnia
- Cognitive Decline
Cupping: Cupping is a manual therapy used to help break up obstructions in the muscles and tissues of the body. Glass cups are used to create a vacuum seal on the skin to promote the movement of blood in the area. One way to think about cupping is that it is the inverse of massage. Rather than applying pressure to muscles, the suction uses pressure to pull skin, tissue and muscles upward. Cupping can often leave bruise-like marks that may last for a few days after the treatment.
Gua Sha: Gua Sha involves scraping (“gua”) across the skin with an instrument in order to bring up raised, red marks (“sha”). Gua Sha tools are made from a variety of materials, from the more traditional buffalo horn to the more modern porcelain. Gua Sha is frequently used to treat neck and shoulder stiffness and headaches, but it can be used in other places as well. The color of the “sha” will vary from pink to blackish purple. Like cupping, the marks can last up to a few days, but generally fade quickly.
