Chiropractic Services

Restore Chiropractic Health Center is dedicated to helping you receive and maintain optimal spinal health through chiropractic care. Our team is led by Dr. Michael Tinkey, who has practiced in Louisville Colorado for the past 10 years. Our mission is to help each patient improve their quality of life by providing personalized care that will help you live an active and pain-free life.

At Restore we use a variety of chiropractic methods to bring you optimum spinal health including:

Diversified Chiropractic Technique

At Restore Chiropractic Health Center, the Doctor specializes in Diversified Chiropractic Technique - a classic chiropractic method that uses hands-on, manual adjusting. Diversified offers a targeted approach to the spine with light force thrusts involving a firm pressure allowing the spinal areas to be released for increased motion and function. This method is excellent for treating most spinal issues and injuries, including vertebral subluxation, osteoarthritis, and spinal degeneration.

Thompson Drop Method

The Doctor also incorporates the Thompson Drop Method, a style of adjustment which uses a specialized, therapeutic table with neck, chest, and low back/pelvic pieces that drop during the adjustment, leveraging gravity and the personal weight of the patient's body as part of the Chiropractic Adjustment. The purpose is to further alleviate the amount of unnecessary force applied to the spine or extremities during the Chiropractic Adjustment.

Activator Method

The Activator Method involves the use of a handheld, spring-loaded instrument that delivers a very light, low-force adjustment to your spine or extremity. This gentle and controlled adjustment may commonly be used on infants, toddlers, elderly, and/or around areas of the body with severe sensitivity.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is a state-of-the-art therapy that utilizes sophisticated computer technology to gently apply a very focused stretch on the compromised spinal disc. Spinal Decompression has been proven effective in relieving the pain associated with bulging and/or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and even relapse of failed back surgery. Since its release, clinical studies have revealed an amazing success rate in treating both neck and low back disc related problems. Dr. Tinkey is nationally certified in Spinal Decompression by the International Medical Advisory Board on Spinal Decompression and is an esteemed member of DCOA (Disc Centers of America).

Our Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage is tailored for you to have a relaxing experience that promotes improved circulation, decreased muscle stiffness, decreased joint inflammation, less pain and soreness, improved flexibility, quicker recovery between workouts, and better quality of sleep. The tool is used to release compression on the nerve roots and restores normal communication between your brain and body. The result is often immediate pain relief and improved flexibility and functionality.

Cupping Therapy
Gua Sha Therapy Colorado

Cupping: Cupping is a manual therapy used to help break up obstructions in the muscles and tissues of the body. Glass cups are used to create a vacuum seal on the skin to promote the movement of blood in the area. One way to think about cupping is that it is the inverse of massage. Rather than applying pressure to muscles, the suction uses pressure to pull skin, tissue and muscles upward. Cupping can often leave bruise-like marks that may last for a few days after the treatment.

Gua Sha: Gua Sha involves scraping (“gua”) across the skin with an instrument in order to bring up raised, red marks (“sha”). Gua Sha tools are made from a variety of materials, from the more traditional buffalo horn to the more modern porcelain. Gua Sha is frequently used to treat neck and shoulder stiffness and headaches, but it can be used in other places as well. The color of the “sha” will vary from pink to blackish purple. Like cupping, the marks can last up to a few days, but generally fade quickly.
