Chiropractic Care
Personalized care to support comfortable movement and help you return to the activities you enjoy.

About this service
Chiropractic care at Restore starts with a conversation about your symptoms, health history and goals. Dr. Michael Tinkey evaluates how your spine and joints move, then discusses the options that fit your needs. Care may include hands-on adjustments, instrument-assisted techniques, therapeutic exercises and practical movement guidance.
What to expect
Your visit includes a review of your concerns and an examination. Dr. Michael explains his findings and recommendations before treatment. He uses several adjusting approaches, including Diversified, Thompson Drop and Activator techniques, so the approach can be adapted to your comfort and clinical needs.
On-site digital X-rays
Restore offers digital X-rays right here in our office. When imaging is clinically appropriate, these detailed pictures help Dr. Michael assess the bones, alignment and structural changes in your spine before recommending adjustments.
A clearer view supports a more informed care plan. Dr. Michael reviews the images alongside your symptoms, health history and examination to explain his findings, choose an appropriate approach and identify concerns that may need further evaluation.
On-site imaging makes the process convenient and lets us review your spinal images with you in one location. X-rays are recommended based on your individual needs; they are not required before every adjustment.

Our adjusting techniques
Diversified
This is a classic chiropractic technique that uses hands-on, manual adjusting. Excellent for treating most issues.
Thompson
The specialized table features neck, chest and pelvic pieces that have the capacity to drop during the adjustment.
How each technique works
Dr. Michael selects the approach that best fits your examination findings, comfort and goals. Here is how each technique works.
Diversified technique
Diversified is a hands-on adjusting method. Dr. Michael uses a specific, controlled manual thrust to a selected joint, with the goal of improving movement and supporting joint function. Your positioning and the area being addressed are chosen according to your examination.
Thompson Drop technique
The Thompson approach uses a specialized adjusting table with sections that briefly lower during the adjustment. The table movement assists the adjusting motion. Dr. Michael explains the positioning and what you may feel before using the technique.
Activator technique
Activator is an instrument-assisted method. A small handheld device delivers a focused, controlled impulse to a selected area. It offers an alternative to a manual adjusting thrust and is one of the options Dr. Michael can discuss when tailoring care to your needs.
