Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression
Personalized, MRI-informed care focused on disc-related back and neck concerns.

About this service
Non-surgical spinal decompression uses a specialized treatment table to apply controlled traction, or stretching, to the spine. The goal is to reduce pressure on spinal structures and support more comfortable movement. At Restore, Dr. Michael Tinkey uses MRI findings alongside your symptoms and examination to guide treatment planning.
What to expect
Your consultation includes a discussion of your symptoms, examination findings and MRI findings. Treatments are planned around this information so the approach is personalized to your needs.
If you already have an MRI report, please bring it with you to your consultation.
During treatment, you remain clothed while positioned on the decompression table. Dr. Michael selects the treatment positioning and settings based on your findings and checks your comfort throughout the session.

Your questions, answered
Is this the same as spinal surgery?
No. This is a non-surgical, table-based traction treatment. It does not involve an operation and is different from surgical decompression. Your evaluation helps determine whether this option or a different approach is appropriate.
